Forget about the groundhog’s prediction! Roughly 85 dancers dressed in red eagerly anticipated a festive evening of dance at the USA Dance Chapter #2024 Ohio, OH’s “Red Dress Ball” on February 2 at the Don Umberly Center in Rocky River, Ohio. The event was sponsored by Mary Liceaga and Patty Amen.
This month, the Cha-Cha lesson was taught by Anya Kwan from KwanHub Studio in Westlake, Ohio. The lesson occurred from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m., and Anya introduced a fantastic dance pattern that suited the class participants well. DJ Amy Lee provided the music for both the instruction and the dancing.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, I sought to find a couple who had been together the longest to celebrate love and dance. Amy Lee helped me discover what I was looking for: Roger and Mireille Krempa!
Roger and Mireille Krempa, from Catawba, Ohio, have been together since 1964 and have embraced the joy of dance for the past 17 years. Their journey is a beautiful story of love, companionship, and the transformative power of dance.

Having met in their youth, Roger and Mireille built a strong bond through shared experiences and laughter. What began as a casual interest in dance grew into a passion for styles like the Argentine Tango and Latin dances, which have enhanced their skills and strengthened their relationship. Each dance step reflects their enduring love and partnership.

The couple noted that dance has positively affected their lives, contributing to their physical health and overall well-being. The dance floor is a space to express themselves and create cherished moments together. Their adventures have even taken them to the stunning island of Corsica, where the beautiful scenery matches the grace of their movements.

Celebrating Roger and Mireille, we honor their contributions to the dance community. Join us at our upcoming club event to recognize this extraordinary couple and celebrate love, life, and the joy of movement. Here’s to Roger and Mireille—may their dance continue for many more years!
