Dear USA Dance Athletes,

The countdown to the 2025 USA Dance National Ballroom DanceSport Championships is on! We can’t wait to welcome you to Pittsburgh for an incredible weekend of competition and celebration. Please read on for key updates, deadlines, and important reminders to help you prepare for Nationals.

Registration Deadlines! Check your Qualifications

Registration closes on March 14th. Be sure to complete your registration before the deadline!

Qualification Status: Below is a list that volunteers have pulled together of qualified athletes. However, due to different scrutineering softwares and event names it may be incomplete. Therefore we recommend you do the math yourself as outlined on https://usadancenationals.org/qualified-athletes/ . If you met the qualifying rules but are not on this list, you are still qualified! If you have any questions, or believe there is a mistake on the list email nationals-registrar@usadance.org . We do our best to look for misspellings and similar names, but we are not psychic.

Competitor Passes – What You Need to Know

Each competitor is required to purchase one competitor pass. Choose the most affordable pass for which you are eligible! For example, a child competitor pass is more cost-effective than an adult pass, so be sure to select wisely.

College Competitor Pricing

If you are a college competitor, your pricing will be adjusted on your O2CM account after the registrar gets confirmation your entire account is done making changes.

Contact our registrar at nationals-registrar@usadance.org to confirm your account is good to go and ensure your pricing is updated correctly.

Dancing with an Alumni Partner? College competitors partnering with alumni will receive college pricing for their portion of the partnership, but the couple must compete in the Adult age category (provided the alumni are qualified).

TBA (To Be Announced) Partnerships & A Tip

Looking for a partner? Use our Partner Search Form to find a match before registration closes!

Important: There will be no on-site TBA matching at Nationals. If you do not have a confirmed TBA partner in the system by March 8, 2025, your TBA entry will be dropped from the entry list. You can use the TBA matching sheet to reach out and find partners for yourself. Tip: You are welcome to switch your entries to our solo-dancer categories if you would still like to dance by March 14th.

We need your help to make Nationals a success! Volunteers play a crucial role in keeping everything running smoothly, and we would love to have you join our team.

Perks: Volunteers receive complimentary entry to the event during their shifts and other exclusive benefits (like food)!

Don’t Forget the Social Dance and Workshops!

We plan to host the social dance early during the Friday Evening Session in the workshop room. This is free for competitors, so come on Friday evening to spectate the great dancing and participate in the social dance!

Speaking of the Workshop room, we hope to have the final details for the workshops and prices available on our website soon. They’ll be held Saturday and Sunday throughout the Day sessions.

Check-In Reminders!

Nationals is only weeks away, but it is never too early to remember that checking competitors in takes time, especially when hundreds show up at the same time. Refresh yourself on the check in process athttps://usadancenationals.org/check-in/ . If you are planning to check-in during “rush-hour” (early mornings), you should play it safe and arrive at least one hour in advance of your heat times. We don’t anticipate it takes everyone that long to get checked in, but that will leave you time to be at on-deck in time for your heats.
