Position Opening – Senior Vice President, USA Dance
We are currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Vice President of USA Dance.
Per Article VI of the USA Dance, Inc. Bylaws (Version 2021A, dtd. January 10, 2021), under Duties of Officers and Directors:
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT: The Senior Vice President acts in the place and stead of the President in his or her absence or incapacity. In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the Senior Vice President succeeds to the Presidency. The duties of the Senior Vice President are assigned by the President or the Board of Directors.
All interested members are encouraged to submit:
1) A resume
2) Statement of Intent: A summary of personal motivations, skills, and potential contributions to the USA Dance mission.
Applicants must be members of USA Dance in good standing for at least one (1) year before holding this or any Voting Delegate position on the Board of Directors, except for a renewal break in membership that does not exceed 20 calendar days.
All application packages must be submitted to president@usadance.org by 11:59 PM EST on July 3, 2025.
World DanceSport Federation Annual General Meeting (WDSF AGM)
The WDSF AGM was held on June 15, 2025, in Bucharest, Romania. DanceSport Ballroom Vice President Daphna Locker and I attended this prestigious meeting. Fifty-five of the 100 National Member Bodies of the WDSF met to hear the WDSF President’s annual report, the financial reports, and updates from the other directors. Daphna and I collaborated as we prepared to vote on various initiatives presented by the WDSF leadership, as well as for the elections of new WDSF delegates.
The WDSF Presidium devoted considerable time to me and facilitated my meeting with delegates from other National Member Bodies from around the world. We were received with warmth and optimism for a great future together.
2026 USA Dance National Championships. Save the date: March 27-29, 2026.
The Nationals Committee is hard at work to make the 2026 USA Dance National Championships a world-class event. Nationals will be held again at the Wyndham Grande Hotel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Exciting news! National Social Dance Celebration.
A Social Dance Celebration will be held concurrently with the National Championships! Preliminary planning tentatively includes social dances on both Friday and Saturday nights, along with 12 group lessons on Saturday, and Chapter Leaders Workshops on Sunday. This is just the beginning. Stay tuned for updates!!
