A great crowd turned out Saturday night, July 12, for the USA Dance Tri-Cities Chapter #6060’s Red, White, and Blue Dance. Phyliss Harris taught an excellent lesson in Foxtrot and DJ Bing, Bing played fantastic dance music. The Red, White, and Blue theme was carried out in the decorations and even in the refreshments. A good time was had by all.

The next party, scheduled on Saturday, August 10, is the Black and White theme dance. Dancers are encouraged to wear black and white. Phyllis Harris will be back to teach a Waltz lesson, and DJ Bing, Bing will return to play her usual excellent dance music. The Lesson starts at 7:00 p.m., followed by social dancing till 9:30. Dress is “dressy casual.
If you are in the area, join the fun, learn a new dance, and meet new people. No partner is necessary, and no reservation is required. Make this your go-to dance of the month. Beginners welcome. Where else can you get refreshments, a dance lesson and an evening dancing for only $6 for USA Dance members and $10 for non-members, $4 Students 18 and under with school ID. The Chapter’s events are held at the Wesley United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 3701 Conduit Rd, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
The Chapter encourages area dancers to join USA Dance to attend the regular-priced 2nd Saturday dance. The cost to join USA Dance is only $35 a year to join as a Social Member.
