Greetings!
I am nearing the end of my first year serving as your President. It has been a wonderful experience. We are blessed with a great team helping move USA Dance forward. As part of this effort, I am pleased to send you our reviewed and proposed 2025A Bylaws. I believe these bylaws will allow us to more effectively build USA Dance while bringing us into tighter legal compliance.
I will be asking the Board for approval later in December. But first, I wanted to provide an opportunity for you, our members, to review the proposed bylaws and offer comments. Just click on the links below to open the documents. We will take comments through December 7; you may send them to legal@usadance.org.
Also attached is a summary of the most significant changes and why they are being recommended. Please share any comments to legal@usadance.org by December 7.
All comments will be read and given due consideration. We welcome your comments, both positive and constructive.
As an aside, I look forward to seeing you at our National Championships, March 27-29, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which will feature great competitive dancing, an outstanding Social Dance Celebration, and a Professional Summit.
