GreetingsI hope each of you is enjoying a wonderful holiday season. As we say goodbye to 2025, I want to thank you for your contributions to the continued success of USA Dance. Volunteers across the United States have put their hearts into sharing the joy and benefits of dance in their communities. On a personal note, thank you as well for your patience and the many kind words of support this year. I’m confident 2026 will be a great year for USA Dance. Our Board of Directors is excited to bring the work and preparation of 2025 to fruition in 2026. All divisions—DanceSport, Social, Professional, and the Central Office—are ready, and together we aim to make 2026 a year to remember. ***If anyone would like to volunteer for an occasional special project, please email me: president@usadance.org. Notice:Alessandro Scalora has stepped down from his position as DanceSport Delegate 3. I sincerely appreciate his service and contributions to the growth and success of USA Dance. Daphna Locker, Vice President for DanceSport, writes, “It is with a very heavy heart, but with total understanding, that I accept his resignation. I will miss his contributions, insights and understanding of how DanceSport works in Europe. I hope that he will be willing to continue to answer my questions and offer his insights into what is happening in DanceSport on the greater world stage.” DanceSport Delegate 3Qualifications:Must have been a USA Dance member in good standing for not less than one (1) year prior to holding the position. (A renewal break in membership of up to 20 calendar days is permitted) - Must remain a voting member in good standing
- Must be an Elite Athlete (competing at the Championship or Pre-Championship level).
Responsibilities:- Attend meetings of the DanceSport Council representing USA Dance athletes.
- Serve as an advocate for the ideas and needs of the athletes to the DanceSport Council.
- If appointed by the DanceSport Council, serve as a voting member of the Board of Directors.
