Pantone Color of the Year!

Editor’s Note: Fashionistas Julie Wilson and Abigail Bruggeman have translated more world fashion trends into ballroom creations for our USA Dancers!

We are excited to warmly welcome 2025 with the Pantone Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse. This neutral shade marks a shift in the fashion scene from the neon chartreuse of Charlie XCX’s ‘BRAT’ Summer and the vibrant pink of Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbiecore’, bringing a cozier ambiance, reminiscent of hot cocoa, to our ballroom attire.

Mocha Mousse exudes warmth, perfectly blending effortless sophistication with indulgence. This color offers subtle elegance paired with delightful richness, enhancing any vibrant color palette beautifully.

In the realm of ballroom dancing, we often shy away from neutrals. As dancers, we crave the spotlight, yet there’s nothing quite like a mocha latte on those early competition mornings.

While this hue may be understated, it makes a striking impression on the dance floor, serving as a bolder option compared to neon yellow or fiery orange.

Here’s your stylish guide to Mambo in Mocha Mousse…
