USA Dance Chapter of the Year and Volunteer of the Year nominations are due January 15, 2026.

As we step into 2026 with renewed energy and inspiration, it’s time to reflect on our membership’s incredible accomplishments and honor the outstanding contributions that make USA Dance such a thriving community. From coast to coast, chapters and volunteers across the country have poured their passion and time into fostering dance, building community, and advancing our mission. Now, we invite you to recognize those exceptional efforts by submitting your 2025 nominations for Chapter of the Year and Volunteer of the Year — due January 15, 2026

Why These Awards Matter

USA Dance’s heart and soul are its people. While dancers shine on the floor, it’s the dedicated volunteers and vibrant chapters behind the scenes who keep the rhythm of our organization strong. These awards highlight:

  • Chapters that excel in membership growth, community engagement, event programming, and fostering inclusive dance experiences.
  • Volunteers whose service goes above and beyond — inspiring others, strengthening local dance communities, and embodying the spirit of USA Dance.

Recognizing those who make a difference encourages continued engagement and showcases the rich diversity of contributions across our national network.

Chapter of the Year

The Chapter of the Year award celebrates a USA Dance chapter whose leadership, creativity, and proactive outreach have made a significant impact during the 2025 calendar year. Whether through innovative events, education programs, collaborative partnerships, or record-breaking membership engagement, your chapter may be a shining example deserving of national recognition.

When preparing your submission, include:

  • Highlights of major chapter accomplishments in 2025.
  • Evidence of successful events, workshops, or community outreach.
  • Membership growth or retention metrics (if available).
  • Testimonials or feedback from members or partners.
Volunteer of the Year

Behind every successful dance event and thriving chapter, there is someone whose selfless dedication stands out. USA Dance’s Volunteer of the Year award honors an individual whose sustained commitment has enriched the organization and inspired others.

Nominees might be chapter officers, event organizers, outreach advocates, instructors, committee members, or long-time supporters whose voluntary contributions have had a measurable influence.

When nominating an individual, consider:

  • Specific projects, programs, or initiatives led by the nominee.
  • Ways they’ve gone above and beyond to support dancers, chapters, or USA Dance initiatives.
  • Stories or testimonials that illustrate the nominee’s impact.
  • Any volunteer leadership roles held during the award year.
