On September 14th, 2025, the Erieside Church in Willowick, Ohio, became a sanctuary of rhythm and elegance as USA Dance North Coast, Ohio, Chapter #2063 hosted its 22nd North Coast Ball in celebration of National Ballroom Dance Week. The weather was as bright as the dancers—sunlight pouring through the windows, creating the perfect setting for an evening of movement, music, and memories.

This year’s celebration was more than just a dance—it was a vibrant tapestry of generations. From pre-teens to seasoned steppers (we won’t specify how seasoned), the event highlighted the enduring power of ballroom to unite people. Among the youngest performers were Jonathan and Olivia, grandchildren of chapter director Debbie Stachurski. Their cha cha was not only charming—it was a tribute to legacy, energy, and the joy of starting young.
The next group took the stage with instructor Jodi England New, who brought two of her students to perform an energetic swing and a sultry bolero. Jodi, a respected teacher from a local studio, infused the evening with both technical skill and heartfelt emotion.

Meanwhile, DJ Jerry Stachurski put together a five-hour playlist that kept the dance floor lively and energized. From classic foxtrots to modern sambas, his choices made sure nobody sat still for long.
Guests from three neighboring chapters joined the festivities, continuing a tradition of mutual support and shared celebration. The evening’s culinary highlight—Chicken Piccata with all the trimmings—was once again a crowd favorite, thanks to the caterers who never miss a beat.

A warm welcome was extended to Amielle Tutelman, the newest member of our chapter. After spending four years in Italy immersed in ballroom study, Amielle now brings her artistry and expertise to Solon, Ohio, where she’s opened a studio just south of us. Her presence added a touch of international flair to an already unforgettable evening.
As the final notes sounded and the last dancers twirled, the 22nd North Coast Ball served as a testament to what ballroom truly represents: timeless, inclusive, and vibrantly alive.
