Elite Breakers from Across the Globe Will Compete in Renowned Global Street Dance Competition on November 9, 2024.

The world’s best street dancers are coming together this November in Mumbai, India for the highly anticipated Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final. National winners from 49 countries will battle for the fourth Red Bull Dance Your Style World Champion title at the city’s NSCI Dome on Saturday, November 9. Here is all you need to know:

– Unlike other competitions, Red Bull Dance Your Style challenges the dancers with impromptu music and features participatory audience voting. With no pre-announced music, no prepared choreography and no panel of judges, it’s all about embracing the moment, moving to the beat and wowing the crowd.

– In these mixed-style battles, dancers from a variety of street style backgrounds compete one-to-one, improvising spontaneously to unpredictable hits from funk, pop, rock, hip-hop, disco and more. Flexing their skills and stamina to impress the audience.

– In Mumbai – a city where Bollywood glamour meets vibrant dance beats and rich cultural diversity – the 49 national representatives will battle it out in two pre-final events to secure one of eight coveted spots on the World Final stage.

– The eight national winners who ultimately qualify via the pre-finals will join eight invited wildcards for the final battles on November 9. This year’s wildcards include revolutionary popper MT Pop of Vietnam, versatile Afro freestyler Kanessa of Belgium, boundary-breaking voguer Ivy Mugler of the USA, waacking sensation Prince Wizzard of South Korea, renowned animation popping and Bollywood talent Saumya of India, and famed hip hop artists Rubix of France and Luwam of Germany. Completing the wildcard lineup is Japan’s THE D SoraKi, a phenomenally musical hip-hop pro who is looking to become the first dancer in history to claim two Red Bull Dance Your Style world titles.

– “I can hardly wait to take part in Red Bull Dance Your Style. Dance has the power to fill people with joy, and it will be an honour to represent India at the first World Final in Mumbai,” says Saumya. “Performing against the best in the global dance community is a challenge that I’m eager to take – I’ll bring something new to the table and will push myself to the fullest.”

– The culmination of 145 public events across the 49 participating countries, the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final week in Mumbai from November 5–9 will be a celebration of dance, with workshops, panel talks, performance showcases and other events to connect and amplify the global dance community.

– The 2024 finals will be live-streamed on the Red Bull Dance channel on YouTube, allowing the international dance community to tune in and see who joins South Korea’s Waackxxxy (World Final Frankfurt, 2023), Japan’s THE D SoraKi (World Final Johannesburg, 2022) and the Netherlands’ Shinshan (World Final Paris, 2019) in the exclusive roster of Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final champions – or if the returning Japanese star can successfully capture a second crown.
