The next USA Dance National Elections will be held in November 2024. The Nominations & Elections Committee is currently collecting candidate submissions for those seeking office.
April 3, 2024, is the deadline for interested candidates to complete, sign, and submit an electronic copy of their National Candidate Confirmation Form (page 7) and Nomination By Petition Form (page 8). All forms are located in the USA Dance Policy Governing Nationals Elections. Once completed they should be sent to Mike Lynch, National Elections Director, nominationselections-chair@usadance.org.
May 1, 2024, is the deadline for interested candidates to submit an electronic copy of their resume, photo, and personal statement (no more than 500 words) describing their reasons for running for election, along with the Nomination By Petition Signature Forms (pages 9-12 as applicable) from USA Dance members who are in good standing, 18 years of age or older, and eligible to vote for the position. Attainment of a minimum number of signatures is required for all interested candidates to include incumbents. The required signature minimums by position are:
- President – 100 signatures by any voting member
- Secretary – 100 signatures by any voting member
- Vice President for Social Dance – 50 signatures by the voting Social Dance members
- Vice President for DanceSport Ballroom Division – 50 signatures by the voting Ballroom Division members
- DanceSport Ballroom Athlete Delegates – 25 signatures by the voting professional and amateur DanceSport Athlete Ballroom Division member
- 1 – Senior gender identify as male or non-binary
- 2 – Adult gender identify as female or non-binary
- 3 – Adult gender identify as male or non-binary
- 4 – Adult gender identify as female or non-binary
- DanceSport Breaking Delegates – 5 signatures by the voting DanceSport Athlete Breaking Division members
- 1 – Bboy
- 2 – Bboy
- 3 – Bgirl
Any member of USA Dance in good standing, 18 years of age or older, may seek election to one of the November 2024 election cycle National Officer and DanceSport Delegate positions. Positions may be subject to qualifications listed in the Bylaws (e.g., Candidates for a DanceSport Delegate position must be an Elite Ten-Year Championship Athlete, etc.).
