Looking for a Volunteer to serve as Membership Director.
As many of you know, Margot Garnick had served as the USA Dance Membership Director from day 1. She took on the unwieldy and often unthankful tasks of diving into the YM system, figuring out how it works, reforming it for the better, and then working with chapters in the heart of COVID-19 to retain  and grow memberships, and regain access to their websites.

She’s always answering emails, phone calls, etc. to help members, chapters, and organizers gain access to information and process memberships at all hours of the day so their activities can go on as normal. She has done it all on her own time, for free, while earning a masters degree, and starting a career for no other reason than her love of USA Dance, Inc. She has by far been the most reliable member of our National Team.

What many may not know is that Margot made the decision to finally prioritize herself and informed the board that she would be stepping down from the Membership Director’s position at the end May.

I for one have tried to avoid this reality knowing that my rock was no longer going to be there. So, I want to thank Margot for going far above the call of duty to support Ken Richards, myself, the Board, and all of USA Dance over the last 3+ years.

Margot is not leaving USA Dance and we will see her around the dance floor serving in many other capacities.  When you do, take time to thank her.

Thank you Margot!!!!!

USA Dance is looking for a well-organized and hard-working volunteer to fill the Membership Director’s position.  For more information, please contact USA Dance Senior Vice President Todd Kirrane at senior-vp@usadance.org.
